Place Stew, Cooked Veggies and Bean Soup on the central table to open the golden door. The Deep Dish Dungeon table puzzle is in the large room with bats and a golden door, with ingredients in the side rooms. Bring your Grapple Hook for this part of the dungeon, and be ready for a fight after you collect the crown beyond the door.
Where is the table puzzle in Deep Dish Dungeon?
The puzzle is on the table in the center of the large room with bats and a golden door.

Start by identifying the golden door, then look toward the center of the room for the table. Your immediate goal is to prepare food for that table. The ingredients are nearby in the side rooms, so explore those rooms as part of the puzzle rather than treating the central table as the only place you need to inspect.
You can also hold up a blue glowing mushroom in the side rooms to reveal the dish recipes. If you want to follow the clues yourself, use that light while looking for the instructions. Read the Bean Soup clue carefully: its wording is the part most likely to send your cooking in the wrong direction.
What is the Deep Dish Dungeon table puzzle solution?
Cook Stew, Cooked Veggies and Bean Soup with the recipes below, then place the finished meals on the central table. The golden door opens when you put the meals there.

| Meal | Ingredients |
|---|---|
| Stew | Raw Meat + Wild Pepper |
| Cooked Veggies | Wild Pepper + Corn + Tomato |
| Bean Soup | Black Beans + Black Beans |
Gather ingredients for the complete set before you start cooking. Wild Pepper belongs in both the Stew and the Cooked Veggies, while Bean Soup needs Black Beans in both ingredient slots.
-
Search the side rooms. Collect the Raw Meat, Wild Pepper, Corn, Tomato and Black Beans needed for the meals. Keep the recipe combinations above in mind as you gather them, especially the repeated Wild Pepper and Black Beans.
-
Make Stew. Combine Raw Meat with Wild Pepper.
-
Make Cooked Veggies. Combine Wild Pepper, Corn and Tomato.
-
Make Bean Soup. Combine Black Beans with Black Beans. Follow this combination even if the side room's wording has you considering Wild Pepper instead.
-
Place the meals on the central table. Bring the Stew, Cooked Veggies and Bean Soup back to the bat room's table. Placing the meals opens the golden door and lets you reach the crown area.

If you need help with the cooking station itself, follow the Cooking Table and Carcasses instructions before preparing the puzzle meals.
For Bean Soup, use Black Beans + Black Beans. The side room clue pairs Black Bean with Wild Pepper and then mentions “Beans Beans Beans,” which can be misleading. Keep Wild Pepper for the Stew and Cooked Veggies when making this set.
What happens after you open the golden door?
You can collect the Queen Crown from one of the skeletons beyond the golden door, but taking it makes the skeletons rise and attack. There are two skeletons, and the queen has more health than a normal skeleton.
Treat collecting the crown as the start of the fight. Before taking it, finish whatever preparation you need for combat; once you pick it up, the skeletons become enemies.
Opening the door completes the meal puzzle, while collecting the Queen Crown gives you the treasure behind it. After dealing with the skeletons, return to the Deep Dish Dungeon walkthrough to choose your next route. If a locked door is your next obstacle, the Prison, Jaguar and Iron Keys page covers those keys.
